Poems: HOW TO FEEL LIKE A GHOST IN A CROWDED ROOM

11:08 PM

Feeling the emptiest when
thousands of people are around

Written by Jesus Figueroa

When no body sees you,
And no one acknowledges you,
And you can give any less if they ever do,
And the pain that you feel inside
Is the only thing that lets you know your alive.

When you're still surrounded by each one of them
And still you feel alone.

In this empty shallow world
You feel emptier than anything else seems.

When you walk through the crowd at your own party,
Blood running down you arms,
Collapse in the center of the most crowded of rooms
And no one remembers your name.

Still you're but a ghost in a crowded room.
